I made a pretty website!

that i don't own, and that doesn't belong to any of my family members.

i feel so semi-professional now. :D

isn't it so pretty? i'm super proud of it, too.
i forgot to take a "before" shot, though. whoops. oh well.
just trust me when i say that my design is much prettier and much more sleek.

coquette, of coquette bath & home (the owner) loves it, which is the most important part evarz.
it's a bonus plan that everyone who's looked at it has said some variation on "i love it! it looks so professional!".
i'm especially happy that the site matches the packaging design that coquette has, it makes for a perfect tie-in, which is exactly what you want. a business's "brand" is what the whole of their business looks like, and that includes packaging, website(s), photos, and even adverting/editorial copy.
i think coquette's site now definitely adds to her brand, and makes a good tie-in for her packaging with the rest of her look.

i've got lots to do, and i've gotta get going on some letter pillows that i told a friend i could make her.
gotta email her first though. i should do that.

got a website to make for a different friend. gotta email her back about that. i should do that too.

got to get theplushiefoundry's new shop up and running.

got a paper to correct/finish. i should get on that.

got lots of apathy, apparantly, since i'm sitting here going "yup, i should do that. *stare into space* ". .... yeah.

apparantly all i want to do is sit and stare and listen to music all day.
gotta stop that, no time for it.

Trying something new

well, new-ish.

Camera for Kitty now has a soopsee account. it's not as pretty as the blog, but it's close, and that's what counts, i think.

it's free, so i figured "Why Not?", and couldn't think of an answer, so there it is.

or rather, [here it is].

there's also a funky green thing over there in the grey box. looks a little like a paint splatter, ne? i think we might have to change how that looks. the green just doesn't work with all the red, quite frankly. i already have an idea for how that should look, so it'll probably be decidedly not green by the end of the night.

please, feel free to comment and tell me what you think of it! i can't decide if i like it or not.

i don't like that i'd have to pay to have sections, but it's still cheaper than etsy itself, so maybe i will when i get dollars. or maybe i'll just buy a whole friggin' website for it. i know how to do all that anyway, and it's hella cheaper than etsy overall (if you wants a site, and know how to blog, email me! i can probably help you with that.).

New Look! New Look!

i was going for an accompaniment to my etsy shop.
the colors there are red, black, and white, because i like simplicity.

i like the way that, in this layout, my shop thingy gets a special box all it's own, and a special background color. makes it seem special. ^.^

i'm still not totally sold on the background that i've chosen, so that may change, but it may grow on me. ^.^

also, i feel almost like a should put something down in the footer, but i've got nothing to put there. O.o

oh well.

what do you think? yay or nay? (and a reason why, if you can find one?)
